FTI System

Flight Test Instrumentation (FTI) is monitoring and recording equipment fitted to aircraft during flight test. It is mainly used on experimental aircraft, prototype aircraft and development aircraft – both military and civil applications, and can monitor various parameters such as high vibration, shock.

FTI is a multitask discipline that plays an important role in sustaining flight test campaign.it helps us to understand of aircraft behaviors with sensors and data recorder.

Aircraft can be new design or under avionic /structural modification.

FTI is used for;

  1. To get reference data in order to understand current configuration of aircraft before modernization
  2. Verification of design and analysis
  3. Real time monitor of aircraft with telemetry

Instrumentation System

Instrumentation is devices and sensors which measure and record physical quantity such as pressure, position, flow, acceleration, strain gauge etc. Device can be data acquisition, data recorder, crash recorder, controller and antenna etc.

Telemtry System

Telemetry is used to remotely measure and monitor any quantity from aircraft. It consists of transmitter, antenna, receiver, display, recorder and controller device.

Data Reduction

Data reduction is transformation of data from analog to digital form. Reduction process also involves some editing, scaling, calibration and engineering conversion.
