Multi-Band Telemetry Test System for UAV Application
Abstract
This paper describes the design, development, production of fully autonomous UAV data link testsystem. The ethernet based data link systems consist of Ku-Band, C-Band, Wideband-Satcom andNarrow-Band Satcom. Ground control station and all airborne hardware systems with simulation, monitoring capability that are be integrated into these telemetry test systems. Integration of GCS,Airborne hardware system and network based telemetry system with handover capability of UAV Aircraft are also included in this paper. These test system allows to user to simulate auto adjustable data link range with real data link equipment. Test automation software and auto adjustable data link range system are used to control the execution of tests and the comparison of actual outcomes with predicted outcomes.

UDP BASED WIRELESS TELEMETRY NETWORK AND DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM FOR ROTARY APPLICATION
Abstract
This paper presents an open system architecture with wireless network centric telemetry anddata acquisition over UDP/IP. This networked solution was designed and developed for ironbird and helicopter rotor applications which present a significant challenge for dataacquisition and telemetry. Traditionally slip rings were used for data transfer however theseresult in issues with low bandwidth, electrical noise, installation complexity, and highmaintenance costs. This paper describes a networked system using standardized Technologiesand protocols that was used for data acquisition and recording of parameters such asvibration, strain, and video on DAQ installed on the rotating part. The acquired data was
transmitted in real-time via the network-centric wireless telemetry link which wassynchronized with a ground-based DAQ used for real time processing of the rotor data.
